“I think there are some people who have the talent to help people. And it is a talent.
Sometimes you have the chance to use your skills or training to help a patient who’s
really in a bad way. And you watch them get a little better each day. Then when
they go home, they’ll come up and say ‘Thank you. You made such a difference.’ That
moment makes everything worth it. And that is why I got into nursing.”
For most patients, their nurse is their first and most regular contact with their
hospital. They perform a vast variety of jobs, everything from dispensing medication
to easing discomfort Often nurses take additional training to
work in various specialties.
The nursing staff at WNJ is exceptionally well trained, exceptionally skilled and
just plain exceptional people.
