“I had some bad health problems at one time, and I was taken care of real good. And I thought ‘I’ll pay some of this back and go volunteer to work at our hospital.’ We do a lot of things but the most important by far is what we do to keep up the spirits of the patients and their kinfolk. You know, your spirit can make a real difference.”

Whether you come here to stay or visit, chances are the first person you’ll meet will be one of our WNJ Volunteers. They do everything they can to help our patients, whether it’s give directions, answer the phone or help with patient discharge. They do it all without being paid, which is a good thing, because we could never pay them enough.
