Supervisory Responsibilities The House Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of hospital functioning during assigned shift(s). The House Supervisor carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Wilson N. Jones Regional Health Care System policies/procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assigning and directing work; sharing appraisal of staffs performance to the appropriate Director, addressing complaints and resolving problems during shift of service and referring these to appropriate Director for follow-up in a timely manner. The House Supervisor may also be required to assist with daily management of bed control, staffing office and PRN float pool staff, including limited counseling and other supervisory duties as assigned by Direct or of Patient Care Operations and/or Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President of Nursing Services.
