How We Can Help

Cardiac Rehabilitation is an education and exercise program designed to return heart patients to their optimal activity level.  Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program helps to meet your special and individual needs.  We help you to learn about your heart, how it works, and the important signs, symptoms, and risk factors of heart disease.  Our highly skilled staff of registered nurses will identify specific exercises, including the appropriate intensity, duration, and pace that is best for your health.  We have classes taught by a registered pharmacist and a registered dietitian to help you learn more about nutrition and your medications.  We also have educational classes monthly taught by the physician medical director on various topics related to quality of life and healthy living.  The classes will also include topics requested by the patients participating in cardiac rehab.  This team works closely with your physician to ensure the best program for you.

Discover your physical capability and potential.  Gain confidence in resuming your favorite activities at a safe rate. In short, you will learn about your physical condition, medication, exercise, diet, and how you and your family can participate in your recovery and future good health.

To enroll, you need a physician referral.  An exercise tolerance test will determine your specific training intensity and duration.  You will attend our facility three times a week for up to 12 weeks.  Your exercises begin moderately and gradually progress to a more vigorous pace that is right for you and ensures your rapid return to good health.  Each session lasts about an hour, during which we will monitor your heart rate, rhythm, blood pressure, and the responses to exercise.  Your family plays an essential role in your recovery process and they are welcomed and encouraged to attend the classes with you.

Insurance Coverage

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program may be paid partially or completely by your  private insurance, Medicare/Medicaid or  Vocational Rehabilitation.  Please check your individual policy for coverage information.
